Their diverse responsibilities include loading and unloading materials, operating electric and non-electric tools, preparing job sites, and maintaining cleanliness and safety. They also assist tradespeople, report issues to project managers, and may perform additional tasks such as cleaning tools, posting warning signs, and assisting with electrical and plumbing installation.

Labour's Duties

Moving materials: Loading and unloading materials, and moving them to the worksite

Operating electric and non-electric tools : Operating equipment like drills, shovels, and jack-hammers

Preparing job sites: Digging trenches, setting up signs, moving equipment, collecting tools

Maintaining cleanliness: Keeping the work area clean and safe

Following safety procedures: Obeying health and safety codes, and wearing personal protective equipment ( hard hat, Hi-V’s, Steel cap boots, glasses and gloves )

Assisting tradespeople: Taking on manual tasks to help other tradespeople

Reporting issues: Escalating issues to project or site managers
